Purpose

  • The purpose of this document is to show users how to repair the DJI product, and list common issues and their solutions, but for complex exceptions or error messages, it is recommended to contact DJI Support for assistance.
  • To find the related product features and usage information, please visit the DJI’s official website at Dji.

Notices

  • Keep the product away from children.
  • Do not let the product come into contact with liquid or water.
  • Do not power on the product immediately after it has fallen into water.
  • Do not store the product in a humid area.

Battery Safety Notices

  • Do not allow a battery to come into contact with any kind of liquid, or leave it out in the water.
  • Do not use swollen, leaking, or damaged batteries.
  • Do not install or remove a battery when it is turned on.
  • Use a battery at temperatures from -10℃ to 40℃.
  • Do not use batteries in strong electrostatic or electromagnetic environments
  • Do not disassemble or pierce batteries in any way.
  • Do not place wires or metal objects on a battery. Otherwise, the battery may short-circuit.
  • Do not drop or strike a battery, or place heavy objects on the battery.
  • Electrolytes in batteries are highly corrosive. In the event of a leakage, please stay away from the battery
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Do not leave batteries near heat sources.
  • Keep batteries dry.
  • Keep batteries away from the metal objects, such as glasses, watches, or necklace during transportation or storage
  • Do not transport a damaged battery.
  • Do not store batteries in environments with a temperature higher than 45℃ or lower than 0℃.
  • Do not place batteries in regular trash containers.

Aircraft

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair method
Aircraft arm broken or skewed Perform visual inspection and check if the aircraft arm is cracked and cannot be used normally. Replace the aircraft.
Upper frame cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the upper frame is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the upper frame.
Propeller guard cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the propellers guard is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the propeller guard.
Gimbal axis arm broken Perform visual inspection and check if the gimbal axis arm is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages Replace the aircraft.
Abnormal camera image Enter the camera view in the app and check if the image is displayed abnormally, such as blurry image, stripes, and noises. Replace the aircraft.
Gimbal stabilization error Enter the camera view in the app and check if the image is skewed or shaking. Replace the aircraft.
Propulsion system error Turn on the motors and check if the motors are spinning correctly. Replace the aircraft.
Camera sensor error Check if the app prompts a “Camera Sensor Error” warning. Replace the aircraft.
App prompts GPS disconnected warning Check if the app prompts a “GPS disconnected” warning. Replace the aircraft.

Motion Controller

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair Method
Outer shell cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the outer shell is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the whole product.
Motion Control Not Working Check if the app prompts an IMU error warning. Replace the whole product.
Power-on failure Check if the motion controller can be powered on after charging. Replace the whole product.
Linking failure Check if the firmware of the motion controller is the latest version. If yes and the motion controller cannot be linked with the drone, the motion controller is malfunctioning. Replace the whole product.

Goggles

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair Method
Outer shell cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the outer shell is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the goggles.
Foam padding damaged or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the foam padding is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the foam padding.
Headband cracked Perform visual inspection and check if the headband is cracked or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the headband.
Abnormal screen display Perform visual inspection and check if the screen is black out or freezes, and if the screen is not displayed completely. Replace the goggles.
Motion Control Not Working Check if the app prompts an IMU error warning. Replace the goggles.
Power-on failure Replace the battery or power cable and then check if the device can be powered on. Replace the goggles.
Linking failure Check if the firmware of the goggles is the latest version. If yes and the goggles cannot be linked with the drone, the goggles are malfunctioning. Replace the goggles.

Remote Controller

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair Method
Upper shell cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the shell is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the remote controller
Lower shell cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the shell is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the remote controller.
Control stick not centered Check if the stick input movement for the remote controller to the aircraft and the response of the aircraft are normal. Calibrate the remote controller using the app. If the issue persists, replace the remote controller.
Power-on failure Check if the remote controller can be powered on after charging. Replace the remote controller.
Linking failure Check if the remote controller can be linked with the goggles. Replace the remote controller.

DJI O3 Air Unit

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair Method
Outer shell cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if the outer shell is obviously cracked or misshapen, or if there are any other cosmetic damages. Replace the corresponding defective module.
Abnormal camera image Enter the camera view in the app and check if the image is displayed abnormally, such as blurry image, stripes, and noises. Replace the camera module
Power-on failure Replace the 3-in-1 cable and see if the product can be powered on. If yes, the 3-in-1 cable is damaged. Otherwise, the transmission module is damaged. Replace the corresponding defective module.
Linking failure Replace the antenna and see if the linking is successful. If yes, the antenna is damaged. If the issue persists, the transmission module is damaged. Replace the corresponding defective module.

Battery and Charger

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair Method
Battery/charger outer shell cracked or misshapen Perform visual inspection and check if there are any other cosmetic damages such as cracked and misshapen that may affect the normal use. Replace the corresponding defective module.
Charging error Use a functioning normally charger to charge the battery and see if it can be charged. Replace the corresponding defective module.
Discharging error Install the battery to the drone and check if the drone can be powered on. Replace the corresponding defective module.

Cable

Common Issue Inspection Method Repair Method
Cable damaged Perform visual inspection and check if the cable is damaged. Replace the cable.
Unable to connect the mobile phone Replace the cable and check if the connection is normal. Replace the cable.

Other Accessories

Perform visual inspection and check if accessories are cracked or there is structural damage. Then replace the corresponding accessory.
